One of the things at which humans were never be able to get seperated from, is water.

What happends if you don't have water in the morning? You can't shower, you can't drink coffee, which makes you angry.

Your coworkers will sell to you bottled water for inflated prices, and don't even think of using the bathroom.

And just when you hoped to be able to get some nice leisure time, you see your swimming pool to be empty and your car to be dusty and dirty...

The level of purification will decide the "quality" of the water. This will be lead into specific the systems for the specific uses for it.
Although we have advanced quite radically in terms of energy and information infrastructure, the water infrastructure seems to be lagging behind. I do believe that there are still a lot of improvements possible in terms of efficiency and awareness concerning personal water use.
In this short brain storming session we sketched a small doom scenario if suddenly the water infrastructure would suddenly stop working. Hopefully this will give us some ideas in developing new kinds of water infrastructure.
