My dissertation focusses on designing ePartners in high-risk professional domains. I studied two elements, namely adaptive automation and observability displays. Adaptive automation concerns a capability of the ePartner to take over work at those times you are busy. Observability displays support the coordination of activities with distributed teams. I have applied these two elements to the navy and to urban search and rescue operations. As such, I joined a number of training missions in both fields.
