Eefje Cuppen

Assistant professor in the Faculty of TPM of Delft University of technology, and teacher in this innovative course on sustainability. I'm fascinated by the way technology is being shaped by society and the other way around. The close knit between technology and people becomes apparent especially in the field of sustainability. Sustainability transitions require fundamental changes in the way we produce and consume goods and services. My current research interest has to do with the role that publics have in the energy transition, e.g. consumers, producers (e.g. energy cooperatives), activists promoting new technologies or blocking them, etc., and how these roles are perceived by other actors in the energy transition (e.g. energy companies, government etc).
