I am used to making images that do not need words to make people think. I hope the image raises questions and sometimes even answers these questions. In any case I want to trigger the people who look at my image, to think. I write captions and some times texts to accompany the image, but these texts talk about the situation in which the image was made and hardly ever address the image itself. In this research project I was forced to look at my own images and say something personal. I am a photojournalist and I find what I think mostly irrelevant. Now I was forced, and developed a new perspective on individual images that are usually part of a series. The individual image became isolated and created its own context.
